The United Nations once again made a call to China, which is accused of using oppression and violence in the Uyghur Autonomous Region. 43 countries demanded that UN officials be allowed to freely examine the region.

The joint statement expressed concern about human rights violations in the region.
Reports of the existence of "political education" camps, where more than 1 million people were arbitrarily detained, were noted.
It was also stated that the number of reports documenting torture, inhuman treatment, forced sterilization, and forced separation of children from their families increased.
China was urged to fulfill its international obligations and respect human rights.
